United Way of Rhode Island, Rhode Island Housing and the State of Rhode Island Office of Housing and Community Development, Housing Resources Commission (OHCD/HRC) are partnering to sponsor an update to the State's "Ten-Year Plan on Homelessness" (TYP). The TYP was developed in 2006 to guide State and federal resource to address the crisis of homelessness in Rhode Island. Since that time, there have been substantial changes to the housing challenges facing Rhode Islanders and the federal approach to addressing homelessness. Given these significant changes, an update to the Plan was determined necessary.

The planning process and the update of the Ten Year Plan will be coordinated by a committee of the Housing Resources Commission's Office of Homelessness. Housing Innovations in partnership with InSite Housing Solutions have been selected to carry out the update.
